Teflon® Isolated Burner (FID)
VIG Industries manufactures its own flame ionization detector. All parts and all related hardware which are exposed to the sample are made of 316 stainless steel. The inner chamber is lined with Teflon® to prevent any corrosion or contamination. All electrical connections use twist type BNC connectors to insure good contact. Glow plug is located in the exhaust path to insure easy ignition. All capillaries can be easily removed & replaced by the customer in the field.

All electronics, with the exception of the graphical display, are designed and manufactured by VIG Industries. We take great care in the selection of components to insure reliable operation. The center item is the microprocessor mother board. The lower right item is a combination voltage (adjustable 0-1 to 0-10vdc) and current (4-20ma) output signal board. The lower left item is a low noise system power supply board. The top item is the Optrex monochrome plasma display. The upper left item is a shielded, ultra low noise, precision ion amplifier.

Dual Stage, Stainless Steel Sample Filter
VIG Industries manufactures its own dual stage, stainless steel sample filter. The filter consists of a two piece 316 stainless steel body with 1/8"FNPT on each end, 60 micron sintered stainless steel element (first stage), 10 micron sintered stainless steel element (second stage), Teflon seals, and a 316 stainless steel spring. The filter is based on the concept that the first stage of the filter captures particles 60 microns and larger, and the second stage captures particles of 10 micron and larger. This method provides for precise, long lasting service and inexpensive maintenance. Elements as small as 0.2 micron are available upon request (interchangeable).

Custom Heated Sample Pumps
VIG Industries offers its own line of cold and heated head sample pumps. Pumps are available with flow rates of 5.5L/M and 14L/M. Heated pump heads are manufactured by VIG. Interchangeable cartridge heaters are included with heated pump heads. All sample pumps use Teflon diaphragms with Teflon flapper type valves. All fittings are 316 stainless steel.

Digital / Graphical Display
VIG Hydrocarbon Analyzers feature Optrex's graphical displays. This display coupled with our microprocessor enables our analyzers to be controlled completely through the display with a small keypad located directly below it. The display updates in real time and the user friendly system allows first time users to operate the analyzer with ease.

Stainless Steel Solenoid Valves
All VIG analyzers feature stainless steel solenoids and custom made manifolds. Stainless steel is used whenever the sample comes in contact.

VIG heated analyzers all contain an oven. The oven temperature is precisely controlled by the microprocessor. All components that come in contact with the sample are kept in the oven to prevent condensation of moisture and contamination of the detector.

Teflon® and Stainless Steel Tubing
All Teflon® tubing is either of type TFE or FEP for long lasting, corrosion free service. Tubing is color coded as per what it is used for. Sample lines are clear so that if there is any contamination it can be easily seen. Fuel is red, combustion air is blue, and carrier gas for the methane unit is green. All metal tubing is made of 316 stainless steel.

GC (gas chromatography) Column
Methane / non-methane units utilizes a GC column for separation of methane from the sample. The GC column is also made of stainless steel for long life and contaminate free service.
